I was sitting here watching an informercial that I had seen before...only this time it was in Spanish. It got me thinking, it must really help to put out your information in multiple languages for them to make a whole new commercial to appeal to Spanish-speakers.
So, I visited iGoogle, and to the best of my ability, started translating some of my shop info into Spanish and French (the two languages most spoken, besides English, by my customer base). I am interested to see if it help with sales any, or if they stay the same. I figured I may as well give it a shot. Can't hurt!
Here is a look at my shop now (please click image to enlarge) :

That's a good idea, hope you will have some successful changes with it!
good luck
Betty
Thanks Betty!! :-)
very good initiative ... I am French but I actually only use english (I am a newbie , I do things step by step) as I assume foreign people using etsy actually have a little english base ... => should work on that :)
I am sending you a convo for a little suggestion about the sections reference (the translation) ... but this is great and cool !!!
this is kind of genius and I'm kind of embarrassed that I didn't think of it myself since well, I speak and write Spanish because well I'm Cuban... but apparently laziness prevails for the moment! just discovered your lovely blog and oh so cute shop on an etsy forum thread - come on over and visit me sometime:

Please continue to correct my translations if anything looks wrong. I did the best I could, but I want everything to be clear and concise for my customers! Thanks!
